Happy birthday, Ivye!

On January 15, 1940, Ivye district was created by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Ivye received the status of an urban settlement.
The first mention of Ivya dates back to 1394. In 1742, Ivye received the status of a town, and in 2000 – the status of a city. On June 14, 2007, the coat of arms and flag of the city of Ivye were approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus. In 2018, a regional festival-fair of village workers “Dozhinki-2018” was held in the regional center.
