
GRODNO REGION CAN BE VISITED WITHOUT A VISA AGAIN
From April 3, 2022, temporary restrictions on crossing the Belarusian border have been lifted.
By Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 197 of March 31, 2022, from April 3, 2022, the previously imposed restrictions on crossing the Belarusian border under the conditions of COVID-19 were canceled. For citizens of the Republic of Belarus, foreign citizens and stateless persons, entry and exit from the country are not limited. Without opening visas, foreign citizens can come to the Grodno region for up to fifteen days.
The visa-free territory of the Grodno region, which is available for individual tourists, is the city of Grodno and the territories of seven districts of our region: Berestovitsky, Volkovysk, Voronovsky, Grodno, Lida, Svisloch and Shchuchinsky. In turn, organized groups of tourists (from 2 people) can visit the entire Grodno region without a visa.
For visa-free entry, foreign citizens must have with them:
? valid passport;
?a document granting the right to visit a visa-free territory, issued to a foreign citizen by a Belarusian travel company;
? insurance policy;
? cash – for each day of stay, the amount in foreign currency or Belarusian rubles must be equivalent to at least 2 base units.
Also, foreign tourists must have a negative PCR test (done 72 hours before entry) or a vaccination certificate (vaccination can be done with any preparation) in Belarusian, Russian or English.
The need for a PCR test or a certificate does not apply to children under 6 years of age, and foreigners arriving in our country due to the socio-political situation in Ukraine, including those transiting through the territory of other countries.
You can cross the State Border of the Republic of Belarus to visit the visa-free territory “Brest-Grodno” at the road checkpoints Brest (Terespol), Domachevo (Slovatichi), Benyakoni (Shalchininkai), Berestovitsa (Bobrovniki), Peschatka (Polovtsy), Privalka (Raigardas), and also checkpoints at the railway stations Brest (Terespol) and Grodno (Kuznica Belostotskaya). In addition, checkpoints are available at Brest and Grodno airports.
