December is the month of gastronomic tourism

Continuing the theme of gastronomic tourism, we would like to tell you about the “highlight” of the Ivye region, the national dish of the Tatars…

GALMA – the main sweet of the Belarusian Tatars☪

It is prepared from honey, flour and butter. All three components are mixed in equal proportions. First, butter (about a kilogram) is melted in an aluminum saucepan. Then flour is added until a homogeneous yellow mass is obtained. The next ingredient is heated honey. All this is mixed over low heat for about 40 minutes until a viscous mass of a pinkish color is obtained. Then the contents of the pan are laid out on a board, rolled out, cut into shapes and left to cool🧈🍯

In the Ivye Museum of National Cultures, you can visit the excursion “Ivye through the prism of centuries” with theatrical elements, a master class on learning a Jewish folk dance and tasting a Tatar dish – galma🍯🧈🔶
