St. Cazimir Catholic Church in Lipnishki
The Roman Catholic parish and the first wooden church (according to some information – St. Ann Catholic church) appeared in Lipnishki in 1510 due to the will of the Polish King Sigismund I the Old. During the half of the millennium the church disappeared several times and appeared again on the map of the village. In 1890 the wooden church was destroyed completely by the fire. At the beginning of the XX century a small chapel in the style of classicism was built at the scene of the fire. It was decided to build a new church in another place.
In 1900 the building of a new stone Catholic church in the style of Neo-Gothic was started. In general, the church was built with funds of Alexandr Volsky, the owner of the village Lipnishki. Some money was donated by the parishioners. The architectural project of the church was designed by the specialists from France. The Polish specialists conducted the construction work. The main workers were residents of the village Lipnishki and nearby villages.
The church was built in 1910, but additional work was being done until 1927. Then the church was given the name of St. Cazimir.
In 2007 St. Cazimir Roman Catholic church and the chapel were given the status of Historical and Cultural values of the Republic of Belarus.
